MEET THE OWNER

Hello! My name is Nikki Watts. I was born and raised in Omak. In 2002, My healing journey began on the Big Island of Hawaii where I also found my first Yoga teacher Norman Allen. I feel incredibly blessed to have learned from one of the greats. I took my first full breath by the ocean. Waves of gratitude continue to flow because of a friend who would drag me out of bed at 4 am insisting that I go to class! I will always remember that tiny boxing gym on the beach in Kona and the connections made with such a silly, honest and humble man.

In 2010, I took my 200hr Teacher Training at Yandara Yoga Institute in Mexico with Allison Eaton. I treasure my time there and feel very grateful for the beautiful unfolding and growth. It was the best investment I could have ever made in myself. It’s funny because I never expected to teach. I just had this very strong urge to deepen my understanding of self and grow my own personal practice. I found so much more: my passion and a beautiful path to living and loving life 💕

In 2014, I opened my first yoga studio in the Everett area with nothing but a little tax return money and a willingness to put myself out there. With many talented teachers and supportive students we created a beautiful healing space and learning what it meant to love ourselves!

In 2019, It was time to return home and raise my daughter. Despite so many odds, I am close to wrapping up my 5th year in business with such sweet students and special friendships to celebrate. What began as “108 State of Mind” has evolved into “Rising Sun Creative Wellness”. I am exactly where I am supposed to be, doing what I love and moving in the right direction on my path.

Over the last 14 years I had the pleasure of working with a wide variety of teachers and explored many styles of yoga. I have hosted many workshops, trainings and events. I have 5000+ hours of experience teaching Private sessions, group classes, various locations, and styles including Youth Yoga!!!

I really love helping people become more confident in their bodies and connected to a more peaceful state of mind. Working with individuals to create a personalized practice is very meaningful work that constantly inspires me to keep going. There is also something pretty special about the collective energy that builds in a room full of students!

I look forward to sharing time on the mat, being grateful for all the things while enjoying the benefits of our breath and a dedicated self care practice.
